You can use your LINE account on multiple devices by using a main device along with sub devices.

About main and sub devices

Main device

Your main device (primarily a smartphone) is the device you used to create your LINE account.

On your main device, you can manage your LINE account information, such as your phone number, email address, and password.

If you want to change your main device (e.g. due to getting a new smartphone), you need to transfer your LINE account.

Sub device

Using the same LINE account on another device as you do on your main device makes that device a sub device.

You can use the same LINE account on a sub device by logging in with the account information you registered on your main device.

Device types that can be used

Refer to the table below for devices that can be used as a main or sub device.

For example, an iPhone can only be used as a main device, and cannot be used as a sub device.

Differences between a main and sub device

There are feature limitations when using sub devices.

The following are examples of actions that cannot be performed on a sub device, but are available on your main device.

Allowing logins on sub devices

To use a sub device, you must first enable the Allow login setting on your main device.

  1. On your main device, tap the Home tab > Settings > Account.
  2. Turn on Allow login.
